Hello, not a foolish question though we don't develop that plugin so my knowledge here will be limited and you may have to reach out to Nexudus for specific info on configuring their product.

You can get your API keys from this page
https://dashboard.stripe.com/apikeys
And if you need a product ID from something your created in your dashboard, that would be this page
https://dashboard.stripe.com/products
Though as you mentioned Nexudus creates those products for you, so that may not be the page for a product ID. You may want to reach out to Nexudus here for specific guidance on what they are looking for for products to use

I think right now since I have created an account but I haven't selected a Stripe "product" that the API key is just a test key?

The pk_test_ key will be your public key for and the sk_test_ key will be your secret key

Right, so because its just a test key it cant actually process payments?

Correct

So what do I need to do to actually start processing payments?

If you are looking for account setup info you can talk to our support team about this https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true

#

For taking payments through Nexudus you will have to talk to Nexudus for instructions

Ah, I had to fill out a ton of information like business name and banking information.

#

Now the API key seems to be live, and I've added it to the nexudus client for payment processing. How do I know if its working or not?

Unfortunately I am not sure how you can test the Nexudus client. So same advice as last message, Stripe's support team can tell you if things are set up on your account, Nexudus can tell you if things are set up properly on their client

How do I reach out to stripes support team?
