A Customer in our API represents someone paying for a service.
A connected Account in our API represents an entity that you're accepting payments on behalf of. They provide the service and get paid for it.
A Transfer represents money moving from a Stripe account's balance to another Stripe account's balance. Funds stay in Stripe
So the way you framed your sentence/question doesn't match up to our naming

Yes so basically the customer can add funds to the stripe platform account and then the platform account sends funds to the stripe connected accounts is that correct?

A Customer doesn't get paid, they pay for a service. Why would you send money to a Customer instead of a connected Account?

Yeah if the connect account is in a US based platform the fund in the connected account will be in USD only if I add an external that is from any other country will it convert it into that Card's currency

@grave lily what matters is the country of the connected account. That's what decides what "external accounts" that can be added. See https://stripe.com/docs/payouts
A US-based Stripe account can only receive USD that's all.
