I'm curious why its complaining, because the default currency is USD, yes, but the coupon also has a ton of other currencies in it, including ZAR, so that error is kind of weird.
do I have to pass the currency prop too? Idk how that relates to coupons tho

Yeah try passing in the top-level currency when you create the Subscription and see if that resolves it
