Apologies, the server is very busy and I lost track of your thread.
Thinking of what you can do in that scenario now....
I think the easiest way to do this would be creating a Coupon for the amount you want to discount and then providing its ID to the discounts.coupon parameter when creating the session https://stripe.com/docs/api/checkout/sessions/create#create_checkout_session-discounts-coupon
Unfortunately Checkout doesn't have non-coupon ways of applying a discount at the moment, so this method with one extra API call would be the lightest way to apply these discounts
