The list of products that can be updated should be specified explicitly.

Two options are available:

  1. Create one portal configuration for all and maintain the list of products that can be updated
  2. Create different portal configurations for different scenarios, e.g. this set of customer can only updated to these specific products

Hey @north summit . One of my concerns with only using the default customer portal is that my number of active products will eventually exceed the limit (if there is one).

Can the default customer portal support, say, 10,000 active products?

Additionally, is there a limit to the number of portal configurations I can create?

Thanks for waiting! There is likely a limit on the products can be configured on portal configuration, but we don't have a documentation explaining that. In my own testing, the API would throw error when setting more than 10 products.

There is no limit on the portal configurations. I'd recommend trying this out. If you face any issue, feel free to let us know again
