Hi 👋
That depends entirely on your business model and theirs
If your business model assumes total control over their Stripe Accounts and you do not expect any previous customers, products, or subscriptions, then it might be a good idea to create new accounts for them
It assumes total control, but their previous customers / subs etc would likely become part of our platform in that our platform automates alot of what they may have been doing manually before. It is also possible they are coming from a competitor.
However my concern is, we wont know exactly WHAT they have on stirpe, e.g. is tehre anyrhing on their i nterms of customers or subs, products etc, that shouldnt be imported. That is my concern
but if we force them to create a new account controlled by us, they would need to recreate their customrs, products etc (which our platform does for them fairly easily) but then manually transition their customer base from their old account to our new one.
Okay lets address that concern first. Once you are connected to their accounts you can use the APIs to retrieve their existing records and review what they have already created on Stripe
yes, i am awre of that. But my concern is knowing what should and shouldnt be importefd. I suppose we could only do this by presenting it to the end user and assking them to choose
Yes that would be up to you and your users to decide
hmm, in your experience, what woudl you recommend?
This is entirely up to you and how your business model fits with your users. I cannot offer advice for this.
