Hi
Hi
We recently went live with Stripe.
I observed lot of card payments failed when we charge for the second time.
e.g. pi_3O4JEcB4yD6nPBkB1eMKPRtN
it was working fine for the first time, after 15 days the same card is not working
are we doing something wrong here?
The payment method has insufficient_funds funds
the decline code for these two payment intent is generic_decline the customer need to reachout to their bank and see the issue, othrewise invite them to use another payment method
I invite you to refer to this guide:
https://stripe.com/docs/declines/codes#:~:text=generic_decline described below.-,generic_decline,-The card was
In order to understand all the decline codes
im wondering how the same customer paid successfully first time
after 15 days the same card is not working
im wondering if there is any issue with our implementation
No there isn't, these are declines from the customer's bank side
and the first one the customer has no funds in their cards
I mean the same customer has paid successfully for the time time
pi_3NyVyWB4yD6nPBkB0FQGPkI1
this is the first payment intent for the same customer
Yes, that can happens, first they have funds in their card and after 15 days they don't have funds any more
im not worried about insuffiient funds
or they have an issue with their card...
the other generic error
That happens, you need to ask your customer to check with their bank
if its happens for one customer I can think of an issue with the customer bank account but I see lot of simillar errors
we found 8 failed transaction alone last day
out 15 transactions
If you have multiple generic declines and want to have advanced analysis on them, I invite you to reachout to Stripe Support at
https://support.stripe.com/contact/email?topic=declines
And share as much details as possible
Thanks
