Is this somethign you're going to have to do regularly or is this just a one-off thing you need to do?
No just a one off thing!
I want to do a few corrections and thats it. I will not be using this regularly
Gotcha - and I assume when you say "Reserve" it went into the connected reserve fund because one or more of your connected accounts is negative
That is possible, I was testing it in test mode with multiple transfers so some of them went into the negative. If there was no connected account with negative balance, where would the money go?
If there were no connected accounts with a negative balance then the money should go to your available normal balance
and then you'd be able to transfer it to another account
I tried it and even though I have no connect accounts with a negative balance, its still going to the reserve fund
Hmm... can you share the account ID with me?
Still looking - I definitely see the reserves being held and it doesn't seem to be due to negative balance
Ah! I was wrong, it does appear to be because of negative balances. If you look at the reserve transactions here: https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/balance?type=reserved_funds you can see each one references the account it's covering for. The dashboard doesn't represent this very well, but those accounts all have negative available balances but they have pending funds that would bring them. positive
In terms of actually being able to transfer to another account - I'd try using a top up (https://stripe.com/docs/connect/top-ups) and see if that goes to your available balance and not your reserved balance. If that doesn't work I'd recommend talking to support (https://support.stripe.com/contact) on the best way to manage this
Okay thank you! Seems like top up is only available in the united states? I am in Canada
Ah, yeah I believe it's a US only feature
Thanks for your help!
👍 good luck!
