If you mean the application fee, no, you set the amount, but you can base it on a percentage on your end, sure. You'd just do the calculation of the percentage against the amount to determine what your application fee should be
I will be applying them to choose your price transactions
so it cant just be figured up like that
if not, i feel like this is a dashboard limitation
the platform will need to take a percentage off of every "choose your price" transaction the end user will make with our clients. I was told by sales that this could be achieved
How are you creating those payments?
through connected accounts - products - payment link, then the payment link will be scanned, at that time a payment will be made, my platform will take 20%, stripe will get 2.9% + 30 cents. paid from the platform account and the client will net the rest. at this point we are unable to locate where to add the percentage on the dashboard
Yea thats not currently supported, but I've filed some feedback about your interest in seeing percentages for one time payments
If stripe can incure 2.9%, why cant we? will we be able to get updated on status as we definitely should be able to have this function if stripe can incur a percentage.
We were told this was supported when joining the platform. I don't believe it would be much of a hassle for stripe to integrate this function.
@balmy island Ultimately we don't support it sorry
why not though?
Everything needs a reason. Stripe is supposed to be this ultimate do it all platform.
We haven't prioritized it. We hopefully will one day, just haven't yet. There isn't much more to say about this and arguing that "we should support it" or "it's easy to build" won't really change the situation. We definitely wnat this one day, just not for now
hahaha if you say so, it sounds like an unwillingness to adapt and adjust to serve your client base. I might be wrong but this is the service I'm receiving.
you can't build every single feature one human wants, that's just impossible especially as you grow. And sure I have seen people ask this over the years, but way more rarely that hundreds of other features we built just this year.
Anyways sorry I'll stop here, I hear what you're saying, and in a perfect world we could build every single feature every wants. But in this situation we have to pick and prioritize and this isn't asked that much
i totally get it, ive been on both ends. longer your side than mine, im still trying to figure this out. Its super difficult to just accept that it's not possible and won't be for the foreseeable future because that function is quite essential to our business providing our services. its our wings, its what we run off of.
