Hello! Can you give me some more details about what you mean by "Selecting auto-fill"
tonyball333-link
Stripe Elements knows that I have previously registered and so gives me a tick box option for aut-fill
Sorry, an option box for Link
Ah! So with that auto I believe we wouldn't always need to reauthenticate - if you see the last 4 digits of the card number (4242) that means you have an active session and don't need to reauthenticate to auto-fill
Yes, thats all great but we had a complaint about the functionality related around this area that I am investigating. I want to know why I am not able to receive SMS or Email confirmation codes and or a registration email.
If I select the check box I still get the following:
Again, thats fine but I can't get past that point
Hmm... this is in test mode right? What happens if you put in 000000
Hmm... that's a bit odd - do you have any example payment intents that you have abeen able to pay with link that I could look up on my end?
Unfortunately not. I could give you an application test link so that you could see the issue if that helps?
Yeah that would help - feel free to send that over
For me it works when I use 000000
Ok, it must have been a resend timeout thanks. I can see that the Choose how to pay text refers to our Platform account name as opposed to the Connect account name. How can I change that to display the connected account name?
What kind of charges are you creating right now? Are you creating destination charges?
We send any payment directly to the connected account i.e. we don't take any part of the amount.
Do you have an example payment ID I can take a look at?
that works! let me take a look
Hmm.... it's a bit hard to tell because it looks like your platform also accepts it's own payments, but I believe you're direct charges and using a Setup Intent on the platform to set up a payment method that'll be cloned down to the connected account
If you create your Setup Intent w/ on_behalf_of set to the connected account, it should use the connected account's name/branding
Thank you, I will try that. If that doesn't work then can I reply on this thread tomorrow?
This thread will likely be archived by that point, but if you ask again in the main channel anyone should be able to help!
👍
HI Karbi, I took a look at our code and we are already doing that: objSetupIntentCreateOptions = New SetupIntentCreateOptions With {.Usage = "off_session", .OnBehalfOf = strRestaurantAccountKey}
Does it matter if the customer is Platform or Connected account based?
You were creating Setup Intents on the platform so your Customer would also need to be on the Platform - I still would've expected Link to show the connected accuont branding when using on_behalf_of though
Give me a minute to check something
Sorry that took a while - I talked with a teammate and unfortunately we believe this is a gap in functionality that we don't support right now. With the way Card Element works with Link, it doesn't have any visibility into whether on_behalf_of is set or not when the Link pop up with the branding is shown. I can flag it as feedback to improve in the future, but for now you're only option would be to show the platform branding/name
tony-link-branding
Ok understood. Showing the platform name is not an option as its too confusing for the customer (hence the complaint from one of them). I will just have to keep the Link functionality disabled for now. Thank you for the assistance.
What does "changed the channel name: tony-link-branding" signify?
We (the people who manage the channel) will do that sometimes so we can keep track of threads easily and remember what they're about
