Hi, let me help you with this.

In the previous thread, @manic grove said This isn't how our Subscriptions work, they charge for payment on the first day of the billing period So, wanted to confirm if this is even possible on Stripe.

If collection_method is automatic the saved Payment Method will be charged immediately.

oh, even if the bill starting date is set on 1st of November, is it?

wanton gorge
#

Yes. You can add a trial month instead.

But when i use test-clocks feature and simulate this behaviour, it is not charging me immediately. It was debiting on the date mentioned in bill start date. Although invoice was also not generated for the same.

Because it's charging for the next (November) Invoice already

errant tide
#

ok understood. But if I add trial period, my invoice wont be coming with whatever charge I want to incur on the customer during the trial right?

wanton gorge
#

It's going to be a $0 Invoice.

The mandate set by our financial team is to generate invoice on the 1st of the month, but charge them on 31st of the month or 1st of the next month. This invoice should have the amount incurred for the product for ex. 500 $

#

Which is why, my question again to you is: Will stripe support post-paid subscriptions?
