Our client who has the issue is in NZ but selling in AUS

Got it. This is expected. While Afterpay can be used with both nzd and aus, it can only be used for payments with local currency settlement. This means Australian-based merchant accounts can accept payments in aus, and New Zealand-based merchant accounts can accept payments in nzd

Ah ok, right if I want to test AUD with my test account, can I do that? when I created my acc I selected NZ but looks like you can't change that after its been created?

If you want to test with AUD, you'll need to create a test account in Australia. It's not possible to change a merchant country after the account has been created. Note that this also means that the client will need an Australia-based merchant account if they want to use Afterpay with AUD
