Technically speaking, if you set an automatic connect to manual, you could just leave it and don't come back it it most likely. But there is no distinct way in the api to pause something.

Yea but you as the stripe developer might tell me no that is not the recommended way. I am looking for best practices. Maybe you could say oh wow maybe we should add pause payouts to be an API call besides just setting it to manual.
