WisePad 3 is a bluetooth/USB reader only supported by Mobile SDKs

The website is to be used in android for that functionality, there is no way to connect website to the mobile SDK? Or some kind of request for the information?

No, web SDKs can't connect to WisePad 3. It requires native android implementation (or you can use React Native SDK for cross platform)

#

Is there an equipment that can work this way?

smoky bough

This supports Web and Mobile SDKs

No

#

Only mobile SDKs

How can i use React Native SDK for cross platform? Do i have to create an app with the SDK to do the connection?

stuck temple
#

My laravel project have npm, can i install that directly to work in it? Do i need any extra packages?

#

Sorry for the questions, i was not expecting to have to work around all that and i have never worked with reactnative.

Not sure, I don't believe you can integrate React Native in laravel really.
React Native is for mobile platforms. Laravel is Web.

I will try to explain my situation to get the a better solution

Laravel/VueJs APP work in desktop for office user and android tablet to airport user, all web. We need a way to read client credit/debit card and get all info in website so we can process with all it is needed. What is the best sollution?

Since your integration is web based, you'd need to use a reader that can support Web SDK (JS or Server-Driven SDK).
Bluetooth Readers won't work for this as they can only be used with Mobile SDKs.
https://stripe.com/docs/terminal/payments/setup-reader#reader

So the only reader that can support your use-case is WisePOS E or the new S700

The tablets use mobile data to work and not a local wifi, can i still use it via internet?

smoky bough
#

For server-driven integration (web based), the Reader would need to have internet access. Its fine if they're not on the same WiFi.

For JavaScript SDK, tablet and the reader would need to be on the same wifi network

#

@stuck temple does that make sense?

stuck temple
#

Yes it makes and seems easier, but still have some questions. What are the ways to get internet on the Reader? In the Airport there is no wifi for internet and all the tablets have their own SIM Card.

The reader can only use WiFi to connect to the internet today.
So if the tablets have sim card and can create hotspots then you can use that to connect reader to the internet.

stuck temple
#

Yes but the tablets are locked with SureFox, to block inappropriate use and the users can't access to set the hotspot.

I have bought 5, wisepad 3, thinking in this situation, as it it completly invalid, is there a way to return the equipment and get a refund for the new one's?

#

The dock only work by cable or can work with mobile card?

smoky bough

Would recommend talking to our support team for refunds

The dock only work by cable or can work with mobile card?
Just the LAN cable, no sim slot is available on the dock.

To summarize:

if you want to use WisePad 3 for your integration:

  • You'll need to build a separate integration that uses mobile SDK (can only be used with the android tablet, desktops can't connect to bluetooth readers using mobile SDKs)

if you switch to WisePOS E or S700:

  • You'll need to provide internet connection for the reader as it doesn't function over bluetooth
