That will mean that abandoned carts result in incomplete_expired payments but we don't typically think of it as something to be concerned about outside of maybe dashboard clutter

You may be able to delete subscriptions when they are in that state. I forget if that errors out or not

If you test that in test mode quickly that would tell you what happens there
