Hi Koopajah, thanks for the answer. Though it still doesn't answer my question as to, why does the payment method creation API exist, when it is not recommended to be used? Also, I'm not passing the data through over the web in plain text.
The payment information Is entered in and recorded on a locally hosted electron application with a locally hosted backend.

What does that mean? Why would you have a localhost backend? Are you talking about a Test mode integration???
