Well okie, so this is a Transfer by NZD, but its source transaction is GBP and you can't transfer like that

#

The currencies must be the same. You can just transfer GBP. It would be converted to NZD if that's the Connected Account default currency

Got it, so it seems that for a successful transfer, the source transaction currency must match the transfer currency. Can you help me understand what determines the source transaction currency and transfer currency in this scenario?

I'm also wondering why a transaction with ID: req_MkmEVHdLtsTp7H, made in AUD, worked smoothly when it followed the exact same settings and flow as the one made in NZD. Any insights on that would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at req_SZNkA9fJky7UMp, the source transaction set to ch_3NztlxAPHtnXCgjU2B6hkPLs , which is pi_3NztlxAPHtnXCgjU2925PmFy and is NZD, but the account is an UK account and it's balance transaction is GBP

Oh wait lemme check

Ah yes

#

Hmm actually let me look a bit closer

No worries can I know what factor affects source transaction? Is it the customers IP address when they make a payment?

I am asking a colleague and will get back to you shortly

Hi there, it seems a bit more complex than I thought. Could you write into Support and mention this Discord thread? Even better if you can let me know the email and I will put an internal note there

I see it's because your Stripe account can hold 2 currencies: GBP and AUD. So a transaction in AUD will automatically has AUD balance transaction, but a transaction in NZD will has a (automatically converted) GBP balance transaction
