so just to check I understand that, if the reversal amount was for £15 and the available balance on the connected account was £3, the reversal of the transfer would not work right?

and if that is the case, could we then if their balance isn't sufficient enough to cover the reversal, could we use Refund.create to cover the refund instead and take their balance to -£12?
