I haven't seen that non-Connect payments were updated to be Connect-enabled. But let me check.

It seems like you can specify transfer_data on the Subscription update request: https://stripe.com/docs/api/subscriptions/update#update_subscription-transfer_data

I know I's possible to split payments when I create a payment link, just by ticking a box

I would say Stripe is extremely user-friendly, as long as the user is a developer 😅

I don't see anything on the Subscription update page in the Dashboard, so I doubt that. You can try asking support, as I don't know much about the Dashboard, but I don't think there's anything: https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true

You will probably need to create a new Subscription with Transfer setting.
