Hi 👋 I don't recall exactly offhand. I think it will either surface an error, or try to charge the Customer's default payment method or source.

I can try to stand up a test, but I think you'd likely be able to test this as fast as I can.

Part of why those fields are optional, is because they aren't strictly require for a request to that endpoint to be successful. For instance the paid_out_of_band parameter can be used which marks the Invoice as paid without processing a payment.
