Hello! Currently this isn't something we support through the API
Just to provide some context. I have a customer who's been connected through the Connect platform. He did however, already have a Stripe Account. That account has then been connected to the external account. However, there are 3 connected accounts, all with the name of "Greeter ApS" and I want it differentiated when I create the connected account.
Yeah right now it's just not something we have in the API - I can flag it as feedback to the team though!
How is the customer supposed to differentiate the connected accounts in the dashboard then? That seems oddly confusing
I know it's not ideal right now - the best option they have right now is just to change it through the dashboard
How would they go about that? They don't have access to the "Edit" button.
What kind of connected accounts are you working with? Express? Standard? Custom?
Express, to which a Standard account has been connected to (i reckon)
I'm not sure what you mean by "to which a Standard account has been connected to"? Can you clarify?
Yes. Using the API, an Express account is created for the customer. The customer then goes through the usual onboarding flow for the Express account. The customer already has a standard Stripe account. Now the newly created and onboarded Express account is shown in the regular Stripe Dashboard, with the other accounts.
Ah I see - the issue is that when they log in as the standard account they see their express account listed and they're not able to edit that name, right?
yews
exactly
I have to go to bed now. Mind leaving an answer for me, for when I wake up?
yup! I'm trying out a couple of things but I'll respond with what I find
