We are an open-source project where users set up their own infrastructure. So, implementing telemetry is quite difficult since every user has a different setup. As for now this business model is based on honest reporting.

Would love to see a retrospective billing model when creating a product on our Stripe Dashboard.

I’m thinking of Google Workspace seats, where a company gets billed for the past month for all the seats they purchased. Should a seat be added in the middle of a month, then the price for that seat should be adjusted proportionally when billed retrospectively.

unfortunately I'm not an expert in subscription modelling so a lot of that terminology is hard for me. It's likely we support most of that, we support proration when subscriptions are edited during a month, we support usage-based reporting where you could report the number of sets and call the API to add new usage when a new seat is used
