What do you need help with? What'st the context?

#

@distant cipher ?

Hi there, I’m trying to integrate Visa Tokenization Services when capturing subscription payments

#

I know stripe has their own tokenization system for cards, but I’m using Visa APIs for my app, and stripe’s tokens won’t work for that (unless I’m wrong)

Unsure, right now I have no idea what you are referring to at all I'm sorry. But if you want to use Stripe you have to give the card information to Stripe, not to Visa.

Alright well to clarify, when a raw card number enters the system it gets assigned a token (for PCI compliance)

#

That token represents the card but is useless outside the local system that created it

What are you really trying to do? Why are you using Visa's API but then asking on a Discord for Stripe? I don't get how to connect the dots here

I’m using stripe to manage subscriptions

#

But I want to integrate card tokenization from visa

Why?

distant cipher
#

Because my web app is a service specific for Visa cardholders at the moment. And in order to use the APIs specific to my intended service, I need the token to be readable in Visa’s DPS system

#

Which means they would have to generate the token, unless they have a partnership with strip that solves that problem

I'm really sorry, I unfortunately have no idea what you could be referring to, which service for Visa this is, why you would need anything like this, etc.
Ultimately if you use Stripe, card details are collected by Stripe and stored on Stripe and there's no way to do anything with Visa like this

So third party tokenization is impossible on stripe?
