@orchid ore mostly impossible so I recommend against it. The fees are taken as part of the payment/transaction and it's way better this way
anam-connect-fees
@craggy tusk thanks for clarifying. So to recover Stripe fees in an Express account we would utilize application_fee_amount where the user could see the full charge amount in the dashboard and then see the collected fees separate? Is there a better way to approach that?
Remember an Express account user usually doesn't see their fees or the full amount because you're supposed to use Destination Charges and just transfer a portion of the funds. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3z_3jDiPTI for a clear video walkthrough with diagrams
@craggy tusk Copy that, so for that level of transparency we'd utilize a direct charge but stick with Connect Standard? Direct is not recommended for Express?
correct
Have you seen any large enterprise solutions using Stripe Standard or do they all migrate to Express or Custom ?
It really depends on their needs, business models, etc.
Thanks @craggy tusk last question for now is it possible to migrate from stripe standard to express in the future?
You can't migrate individual accounts no. But you can create new accounts if needed and start fresh
So we'd instruct the user to complete a new onboarding flow, kyc, etc and I assume theyd lose any stripe dashboard analytics in that process
