Laracasts likely doesn't use PaymentLinks that's all.

PaymentLinks is a no-code product that allows you to easily accept online payments with a link. Under the hood it redirects to Checkout our hosted payment page.
That URL you mentioned they control it with their own code using Checkout directly. That requires writing code
