Hi 👋 sorry about that, I didn't realize there was still a pending question when closing the thread. Can you summarize the question that you still have for me?
I was expecting the 3d secure mail to be sent by stripe for the off-session payment. I didn't receive any
Can you elaborate? Is this for a real payment or a test one?
this is a real payment, you can check in the earlier converstaion, where I have shared the request_id and payment_intent id as well .
The issue is , I tried an off session payment in live mode, for a subscription which was created via Indian Credit Card. As per the documentation I read on India recurring payments and my stripe email settings - "Send a Stripe-hosted link for customers to confirm their payments when required" , I expect to receive an email for 3ds via stripe for off-session authentication, which I did not receive an email and soma confirmed that there were no mails sent.
I need help in understanding this scenario, why the email was not sent, and if this is an expected behavior, how can I handle off-session payments for Indian cards or in general 3ds cards ?
toby, you there ? I hope this thread does not get closed .
It won't, sorry, juggling multiple threads and got distracted trying to go back and find that payment ID again.
one sec .. I will share here only
payment_intent for this - pi_3NpVPEDvzL5KbtwG2qhrckzj
Please ignore the 3d secure attempt, that was manually initiated and cancelled, not via email .
Wait, this was a payment from today, that was completed from a Checkout Session?
aa... no
the subscription was created via checkout session, but the off-session payment to update quantity from 1 to 2 was done via API .
Hm, I'm not sure I understand. The Payment Intent ID provided was created from the processing of a Checkout Session.
hmm .. if you check this customer - cus_OcfHIBFQTBdpER there was one payment of subscription creation which was done via checkout api,
but the quantity update happened via off-session through api , and that you can check from the request_id I have shared.
Oh I see.
We aren't too familiar with diagnoising why emails weren't sent, I would recommend following up with our Support team regarding this matter:

I beleive they're more familiar with those email flows than we are here in this forum.
