Our live account was setup for connect but we don't use that anymore, Stripe support turned on paypal after we reached out

Paypal flow on the sandbox with setup_future_usage: 'off_session'

Paypal flow on the sandbox without setup_future_usage: 'off_session'

On the sandbox the checkout page is different with/without the setup_future_usage: 'off_session'

Just created one there on the sandbox

Gives a nice test flow

Without setup_future_usage is clunkier, have to login in with paypal, doesnt retain any chekcout data etc

Yes

Our live account was setup for connect so we had to request for paypal to be enabled via the dashboard

We don't use connect anymore

So our stripe account manager turned it on

May or may not be relevant

I think we can remove it however the different checkout flow as per above is concerning

Can't just push it live as it might affect payments

I'd suggest you to ask your AM to figure out why the same request works in test mode but not in live mode

Maybe there's some switches that need to turn on, but I can't find the information in any public doc
