If you use the coupon on a yearly subscription the discount will only be applied to the first year. The way a three month discount works in our system is that the discount will be applied to any invoice for the subscription that happens within three months of when the coupon is applied to the subscription

So if you apply a three month coupon 50% off coupon to a subscription when you are ten months in to the year, the entire next year would get a 50% discount because the next invoice happens when the coupon still has a month left
