Are there known issues in having too many archived Prices?
I'm considering doing this Currency rebuild ~monthly or on certain % change

Nope no limitations on number of Prices/Products so you should be fine

The only other thing I can think of is in the scope of Reporting ... if I have a $5/month Price with ~a dozen Currencies & I rebuild this monthly ... I don't think I'll have a clear view of certain stats like number of subscriptions

Yeah that's true unless you used metadata or something to do your reporting instead of the specific Price object
