AFAIK I believe you need a US entity to transfer to connected accounts in the US (Cross border transfers are only available for platforms in the US)
is it possible to do a direct payout to a US bank account? without transfer to the connected account?
I believe you can create Direct Charges on a US standard connected account via your account in CA as controlling platform
Would recommend giving it a try in test mode to be certain
ok and this is not available for express account?
Direct charges are only recommended for Standard accounts
We don't recommend you use it with express
ok thank you
A separate question: I created a payment in test mode on sept 1st and the dashboard shows that the fund will be available on sept 8. Is it normal it takes this long in test mode?
it shows I have no fund available for payout, and that it will be available on sept 8
Yes it is expected, you can create test payment with these cards, they skip pending balance and move to available immediately.

ah I see thank you
sorry back to the question on direct charge, can I use that for sending fund? or is it only for requesting payment?
You can't send funds with direct charges, no.
With direct charges, the incoming payment (payins) settle on the connected account (in the US) so transfer isn't involved as such.
hmm ok
our business model is that end-users send payment to our account
and separately we payout to our content creators.
There is no direct one to one transaction from end user to content creator.
What would you recommend for us to use to payout to our creators? given the cross border restriction
I see. The only way I can think of is to create a US entity. Unfortunately, there are no workarounds I am aware of. I would suggest you reach out to our support about that as they might know if there are any alternatives
