Hi there 👋 can you share IDs of related objects where you're seeing this behavior so I can take a closer look at that?

Product ID? As in prod_xxxxxxx?

#

And if so, is it safe to share here?

Yes, IDs are safe to share here. I'm more interested in seeing a payment that used the product where you were expecting an 8% tax rate but didn't, so I can look to see if there is a reason that was set to 0% instead.

Here's one I believe is incorrect: pi_3Niap3DQ6Y4AP0xh0z4qX75D

More detail from our test technician:

TEXAS DISCREPANCIES
Hale Center TX sales tax = 8.25%, got 8%
Dallas TX sales tax = 8.25%, got 8%
Kingsland TX sales tax = 6.25%, got 8%

NEW YORK DISCREPANCIES
Albany NY sales tax = 4%, got 0%
Marcellus NY sales tax = 8%, got 0%
NYC sales tax = 8.875%, got 0%

Alright, I checked to make sure things were set up correctly. I see you've said you're registered where you're trying to collect tax for, and that the Customer isn't configured to be tax exempt. So I don't think those would contribute to you seeing a 0% rate where you weren't expecting to.

We aren't as familiar with exactly what rate should be used when in this forum, so for next steps I would recommend compiling the information from your tax advisor along with any state-provided supporting documentation you have, and provide that to our Support team so they can review the calculations/rates we're using and confirm whether those are accurate.
