Yes, this will be possible. Your system will add invoice item to the customer and Subscription will pick up the invoice item based on the interval set.

Okay, so if the subscription interval is year, but I setpending_invoice_item_interval to month, only pending invoice items on that subscription will be pulled into the monthly invoice, leaving the yearly interval sub on its regular schedule?
