Hello 👋
How exactly are you getting the data to audit the payments? (asking to understand what your current setup looks like)
In general if you were to use Stripe connect, then you can deduct 10% as application fee from the payins and transfer rest of the amount to the connected accounts (your partners)
The application fee would be reflected to your account balance (which you can payout to your own bank account) and the transferred amount would be paid out to your partners bank account

we get the audit done from the app we build for that client. We can integrate the application fee inside the api. But problem is we are business partners not platform partners. We get 10% from everywhere. Clients has clickfunnel pages where they sell products, courses and events where they have stripe integrated we cannot deduct 10% fee from there because they don't allow us change payment intent
There is no way to do something like this today. If they use a third-party (ClickFunnels) then that third-party controls their code and volume
it'll be a deal between you and that merchant that they owe you 10%
ClickFunnels is a Connect platform?
Stripe Connect lets you act as a platform and accept payments on behalf of others
you don't seem to do this, you seem to be a partner expecting 10% of all revenue of some of your "partners" which is a completely different model
oh do we have to use connect platform to vendors as well?
I thought we can apply a rule in stripe connect and it just send payouts to other stripe accounts.
sorry about that
so you are saying there is no way of doing that right now?
cant we even set a rule to send 10% payout or different bank and 90% payout to different bank?
correct that is impossible. A Stripe account can't even have 2 bank accounts today. So really none of this can be done the way you are thinking about it
thanks for your time. We will use platform fee right now
There's no way to use any platform fee for something like this though
You can't take a platform fee also called an ApplicationFee if you don't control the code that creates each payments. And you said you don't do that because your partner uses ClickFunnels for payments
I mean we use it in our payment intent and do the manual audit for others
ah gotcha then yes that would work
perfect thanks
