Hello! can you give me more specifics?
If you're just talking about the ability to collect donations, then that would just be the same as a normal transaction
You bet - happy to. I have a client that wants to launch a platform that would use Stripe to process transactions by users, but they also want to give users the option of making a donation to the platform itself (i.e., one user could make payments to two separate recipients during the same visit - one payment would be to a merchant showcased on the platform and the other to the platform itself). Is this doable?
Gotcha! That helps a lot
So yes, this would be separate charges and transfers - you'd create a payment on the platform account and transfer some portion of the amount to the connected recipients/keep however much on the platform
Can the two amounts be completely different? For example, the first payment is for the product (say, $10) and then a second payment is to the platform (say, $1) for a total of $11 but going to two different accounts: the $10 going to the merchant and the $1 going to my client's platform. Does the Separate Charges feature support that?
