In test mode only some emails are sent out automatically, the ones that we do send out like that only get send out if you set the Customer email to the exact email of a user on your account (the email addresses that you and your team log in with)
If the emails are still not getting triggered from there, you can usually send the emails manually through your dashboard page if you want to see what they look like
So in live mode,
let say I have 2 scenarios.
1st: I made a subscription that recurs anually. I would be getting the email when I firstl paid for the subscription and also after everytime the subscription renews and amount gets deducted from account.
2nd: I made a one-time payment and based on the details, I will receive the email for the payment made.
Am i correct?

One more thing, will the email contain detail about the plan purchased also for subscription, bascially a invoice kind thing
Yep, invoices will include an itemized breakdown which will show up in the email
