like if i was to upgrade the subscription and the payment fails with ach debit

I'm still trying to understand the problem. Was the payment to invoice failed after you updated the subscription, and you want to understand why?

no like usually if you pay with credit cards and you try to update a subscription to upgrade to another price and the payment fails it wont take effect. it will just live in the pending_updates field but apparently its not supported with ach_debit so how do you suppose I handle this scenario
