Yes so prefilling in Hosted Invoice Page wasn't supported in Live mode. In Test mode we just prefill with 4242 and a set of default parameteres, but it's not really related to the default_payment_method you set. If you try a completely different card into default_payment_method, what does it display?

So yes that confirms the statement. We just show 4242 for every Test mode Hosted Invoice Page. We don't actually have pre-filling feature
