To test GooglePay you should either use a real card, or a card in Google Test Card Suite

You can't test with Stripe test card, because this is a wallet

got it, many thanks

managed to subscribe on the test card suite and it shows dummy card prefilled in my payment methods
though still I'm not able to place the orders and it isn't showing any errors when I click on pay with stored cards 😦

I tested the same on demo page of google pay test suite

https://developers.google.com/pay/api/web/guides/resources/demos

it does not show me any errors or anything after I click on pay now, it just closes the popup
