Can you share an example event ID (evt_xxx)?
Sure, this one got delayed: evt_1Ni3AqKBvfDBMmRlQfcQAsl7
Sorry, I thought that was the correct event but it wasn't. This one is correct: evt_1Ni2ZKKBvfDBMmRlkcoXewJE
Notice that one was created at 3:56:57pm (Mountain) but delivered at 5:56pm
It didn't show anything under Webhook attempts earlier, while it was pending.
From https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/events/evt_1Ni2ZKKBvfDBMmRlkcoXewJE, the event delivery was successful. The event was created on 2023-08-22 21:56:57 UTC and delivered on 2023-08-22 23:56:58 UTC
Where do you see "pending" state?
It's no longer pending. It was pending for approximately 2 hours, then got delivered. But during the time it was pending, there was no indication that I could find of why it was pending.
Stripe only sent the event on 2023-08-22 23:56:58 UTC. There seems to be a delay in this case
I guess my question is whether it's due to a problem with something we're doing or whether it was some sort of issue on Stripe's side. If it's possibly our problem, I want to fix it. If it's a Stripe problem, then we'll try to look at how to best handle the case where the events get delayed.
For certain important events, we know we're expecting them, so we can potentially give our operations team and our users some notification when the events don't appear as they should.
Thanks for sharing the details. The example evt_1Ni2ZKKBvfDBMmRlkcoXewJE was the problem with a delay sending from Stripe
Ok, great. That's exactly what I needed. Thanks for the quick and excellent help!
