The underlying Checkout Session created by that Payment Link only has card and link enabled. The Price used is a recurring Price, which means SEPA needs to be enabled (iDEAL by itself is only for one-off payments). SEPA is turned off in your Dashboard here: https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payment_methods

Oddly, my friend doesn't have SEPA enabled but his iDEAL payments show up for recurring.
Maybe because he's in Canada?

If I have to enable SEPA because it's a bug that it's allowed no worries, just thought it was a strange inconsistency

Oh, yep, it is the country of the account. I completely missed that. iDEAL requires local currency settlement, so you can't do it with a US account and EUR as the currency.
That's interesting that it works without SEPA enabled though, I thought that also had to be turned on regardless. Will need to dive into that later.
That's interesting that it works with my Canadian account then, shouldn't that be blocked too for being non EUR?

Ah, okay, so @smoky quiver I think figured it out. These are for Subscriptions, so we use the payment settings in the Invoice template, not the other payment method settings: https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/invoice
And in there SEPA is disabled on one account and enabled on the other.
