in any case, https://stripe.com/docs/connect/account-debits

Stripe supports Account Debits only when both** your platform and the connected account are in the same region** (for example, both are in Japan). If you have interest in other regions, contact the sales team.

so the connected account is in cad
but my platform account is in gbp

well it's just not possible, we don't allow cross-region money transfer like this within Stripe by default. I'd maybe chat with your sales contacts or our support team about the wider context of your use case and how your payments integration is designed and what options we might be able to enable for you.
