These two requests are both 200,

I'd suggest you to try again with a Google account registered in another country where Google Pay is supported.

We currently do not support Google Pay and Apple Pay on Stripe Checkout and Elements for Stripe accounts and customers in India.

This entails that if your IP address is in India, you won’t be able to test a Google Pay or Apple Pay integration for a Stripe account based outside of India and accepting Google Pay or Apple Pay as a payment method.

I'm neither using Stripe Checkout nor Stripe Elements, i'm using @stripe/stripe-react-native 's confirmPlatformPayPayment in india, so i guess it should work?

I don't see any errors from Stripe so my understanding is that somehow Google Pay doesn't allow this payment for some reasons.

i actually didn't add any bank accounts yet to my google pay app... could this be one of the reasons?

i was hoping i could test it first... as this is a test env

It shouldn't matter. Google Pay will promot customer to add a card if the customer's Google Pay wallet is empty.

I understand that there is a special version of Google Pay in India, and Stripe doesn't support that.

Stripe only support the standard Google Pay.

yea... I just checked, the indian play store doesn't even have the standard google pay app... hence i'll have to discontinue using stripe... 😔
