Ok so you have the stripe listen command running in one terminal window and you're running stripe trigger commands in a separate terminal window?

the app is running properly

so when you type a stripe trigger command, does a log line pop up in the stripe listen command's window?

no nothing, that is the hard part. I get in the stripe dashboard that it is connected also but not the trigger completed mark ther either

You're attempting to run stripe trigger in the same window that you're running stripe listen

You can't execute cli commands in a window that's already running a process (ie stripe listen)
