Hmm if you are using on_behalf_of you should be getting your Connected Account branding
Do you have an example Charge object you can share?

None of it is required
It is all optional and dependent on what branding you want to set up
so why do i need to set it then to get the receipt url by default
You don't. You only need to set it to get the Connected Account branding which is what you indicated you wanted in the original post

When I make a payment the charge object gives me the receipt_url with the platforms branded receipt. How do i get it to show the connected accounts branded receipt
The receipt will only be "connected account branded" if you update the Brand Settings on the Connected Account as I noted above.

If you want it completely branded, then yes, all of them.
Otherwise the ones that you don't set will use the defaults

Is that receipt for a Charge created after you updated the branding of the Connected Account?

It is from June 1st
The branding will only apply to future Charges once updated
I can always get both receipts from the dashboard regardless of branding field. When I make a payment how can I get the connected accounts branded receipt?

Yeah we are mostly going in circles.
What you need to do is:
- Update the branding on your Connected Account
- Create a new Charge
Then the receipt for that new Charge will have the updated branding
Can you share the PaymentIntent ID for that receipt?
Yep you are setting OBO which is necessary. But that Connected Account still doesn't have any branding set.

You need to set your branding on the connect account not the platform account
If you log into the connect account, there are separate branding settings for that account
It's there. Can you tell me if an icon is the thing that's causing me to not the get the correct URL via the response

So on_behalf_of charges don't actually use the connect account branding by default
