@coral kite by "manual option" I assume you mean collection_method: 'send_invoice'? If so that's expected. This flow is more for cases where people pay via bank transfers/wires for example so it's all async or30/60/90 days later and retries/auto cancellation don't make as much sense

so in that case you need to handle the retries/logic

or not use that flow and stick with "charge automatically"
