Okay so with that kind of flow we highly recommend never having the Subscription on the connected accounts. The Subscription should live on the platform. Is that what you are doing?
no, the subscription is on the connect account. can you elaborate on why it's recommended not doing this with express accounts?

Doing that would also use the platform's default setting for sending an email for Subscriptions. And as long as you use on_behalf_of you can brand the receipt automatically for the connected account
So that's what you should be moving to. There's no way as a platform to configure email settings of connected Custom/Express accounts
so if we use standard connect accounts is it possable to have email receipts sent?
Each Standard account has full Dashboard access and can configure whether to send email receipts or not. As a platform you have no control over this
