Hi there
hello!
Can you provide me with a request ID for the error you are seeing?
https://support.stripe.com/questions/finding-the-id-for-an-api-request talks about grabbing the request ID
Also would be helpful to know if you are integrated directly or using a third party (like Shopify?)
I'm integrated through systeme io
Where do you see this error exactly?
the customer saw it and said my shop was not valid in canada when trying to use afterpay
Okay this sounds like an error that is being presented via system.io and not via Stripe, unless you see a request ID that is erroring. So you will want to reach out to system.io about this -- we don't really have any error messages that reference a "shop not being valid in Canada" so I'm pretty skeptical this is coming from our end.
Okay! Thank you for your help. Is it necessary to create a separate product that is specifically only offered in CAD for people to be able to buy it in Afterpay?
No it should work in either USD or CAD as far as I know. We discuss this here: https://stripe.com/docs/payments/afterpay-clearpay
Ah wait a second I might be wrong on that
Based on https://stripe.com/docs/payments/afterpay-clearpay#collection-schedule it does look like it is expected that you present in USD for a US-based account.
It is a bit confusing though since we state at the top of the page you can use USD or CAD presentment currency. But I suppose that just doesn't indicate that you must present in your local currency for your country.
Are you trying to present in USD right now?
I'm set up in USD now yes!
Okay so in that case I either need a request ID to be able to look into this further or otherwise you need to reach out to system.io about this
Okay! Thank you!
