We can't find such change as of now. Can I suggest you to write in to us https://support.stripe.com/contact, so that we can follow up and check with relevant team? It’ll be helpful if you can include the ID in your email.
Do you mean to say that looking into it, you don't see a corresponding change on your end (i.e. quick search suggests it's always been this way)? @daring peak
From the API level, I can't find information about such change in change logs, but the product team might have changed the underlying behaviour. I'd recommend writing to Support, so that we can follow up with you through email after checking with the product team
