@ivory charm When you use a SetupIntent, we try to set up the card for future payments as needed. This isn't a guarantee. It's up to the bank, their own fraud controls, etc. But it's already the best you can do and when you charge "off session" if you get a decline you get the customer back "on session" on your website/app

Thanks Koopajah, we confirm 3D cards when they are saved on file. But are finding that some cards required extra steps at checkout. As we use the API for processing payments we were trying to avoid building the confirm step in due to the extra load of having to pre fetch/create a payment intent. But it seems like this might be the only way forward.

Yeah no matter what you do a card can work every day for 2 weeks and then require authentication later
