That setting is for Payment Request Button. This is Checkout
Oh ok I screenshoted the wrong area
but all options for link are disabled here: https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/link
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
Link for checkout is already disabled
Okie, which account have you disabled it?
I guess that is for our own Stripe account?
Main purpose is we would like to disable it for our stripe connect accounts checkout page
https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/connect/payment_methods
Link is also off by default here already too
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
And currently the setting to allow connected accounts to customize their own payment methods from the dashboard is also disabled
So I assume if link is off by default then it shouldn't show up in the connected account checkout page either
But it still does
Okie but the screenshot, did you take it from the setting on your own account?
Could you screenshot the exact option you toggle off?
The checkout session above is for a connected account
even though allow connected accounts to customize their own payment methods is disabled, and link is off by default, link still shows up
Okie when you clicked to the "Link" section on the bottom? What else does it tell?
To accept payments using Link in the Payment Element, use this settings page. To manage Link for other integrations, including Payment Request Button, Card Element, or Checkout, use the Link settings page.
So when I click the Link settings page (which was the earlier screenshot) all possible toggle options are set to off
We've turned off link everywhere that we can see, but it still shows up
Okie I see, so you create this CheckoutSession from a Platform Account acct_1N42moIarNINIUnH to a Standard Connected Account acct_1NdykaIPkE6Yl4xf, correct?
And you are the Platform
Yes correct
Although you have turned off everything, the Standard Account still hold the option to on or off their Link setting, and it indeed has the option ON as I observered
So a CheckoutSession as a Direct Charge, will takes their setting as precedence
Ah I see, thank you. May I know how you got to that setting?
OK nvm found it
So basically that toggle enable/disable setting "Allow connected accounts to customize their own payment methods" doesn't apply to Link
Even though there is an option to turn link off by default
doesn't apply to Link in Checkout. It does apply to Link in PaymentElement
